The end of 2007. Professionally it was a very productive year: publishing freelance illustration, working with Adobe, the student film festival I founded became a non-for-profit, and I had some time to work as an artist in addition to teaching high school.
I make my living as a educator and trainer but I feel it is important to be an artist above all else. I believe in the old tradition of education - teachers sharing their knowledge (as opposed to those who can't do teach). I keep a sketchbook that I work in regularly and though the past year I worked on creating art everyday.
My new years resolution is to extend the process to photography and document the creative process for a year and reflect on time as it's passing. Happy New Year!
