My Long Island the begining

Culture, in small bites.

As you can imagine with more people comes more culture. The island is as diverse culturally as it is bland geologically from the Native American reservations to the melting pot soccer moms. As an artist I'm always looking for new ideas and experiences so I've searched out the beacons of arts and culture around Long Island, and it's out there it if you’re willing to look. We have fantastic museums and local galleries, great out of the way blues and indie music bars and coffee shops, and some fantastic restaurants with a view to kill.

I spend a good deal of time walking and drawing on the beaches and in the nature preserves. I'll drive out to the little hidden spots to get some great Greek food or Cajun. Sometimes I'll just stay local and get breakfast at the mom and pop diner. It doesn't matter what you’re looking for, Long Island is close enough to everything to get it and that's really why I'm still here.
